Uganda Airlines Expands to Europe with New London Gatwick Route

Uganda-Airlines

Uganda Airlines is set to launch direct flights between Entebbe and London Gatwick on May 18, 2025, marking its first European destination and reestablishing air connections between Uganda and the UK after nearly ten years.

Operating four times a week, the service is expected to enhance business, tourism, and trade. CEO Jenifer Bamuturaki emphasized its significance in the airline’s expansion strategy. The Airbus A330-800neo flights will also facilitate Ugandan exports, which amounted to $22.6 million to the UK in 2024.

With all necessary regulatory approvals in place, tickets are now available through the airline’s website and authorized agents. This new route aligns with Uganda’s Vision 2040, aiming to strengthen economic growth and global integration.
