Kampala, Uganda – The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) has announced several employment opportunities in line with its commitment to strengthen regulatory functions in the communications sector.
The call for applications, released on Monday, seeks competent professionals to support the Commission’s mandate as outlined under the Communications Act of 2013.
According to the notice, UCC is recruiting for three key positions: Officer Procurement, Officer Cyber Security Awareness, and Officer Cyber Threat Analysis.
The recruitment targets individuals with proven skills to help the Commission oversee and regulate telecommunications, data communications, broadcasting, postal, and radio communications in Uganda.
According to the notice, the Officer Procurement will be stationed at UCC House in Bugolobi and will report to the Senior Officer Procurement. The primary role includes assisting the Procurement and Disposal Unit (PDU) in procurement processes, administration, and maintaining accurate records.
Two cybersecurity-related roles, Officer Cyber Security Awareness and Officer Cyber Threat Analysis, are based at Communications House. These positions report to the Senior Officer of Information Security.
The former will be responsible for developing and implementing cybersecurity awareness strategies, while the latter will focus on identifying cyber threats, assessing risks, and producing intelligence-based recommendations.
The Commission has urged all interested candidates to submit their applications via the online portal at https://erp.ucc.co.ug/jobs.
Applicants must upload a detailed CV, application letter, and relevant academic certificates. Each CV must include three referees with current contact information.
The deadline for submissions is Saturday, June 1, 2025, at 5:00 PM. UCC emphasized that late applications will not be considered and any form of canvassing will lead to disqualification.
